Traditional Exteriors and Contemporary Features at Stunning New Shipdham Development Unveiled This Weekend
Norfolk-based Abel Homes is launching its Oak Meadow site in Shipdham on Saturday with the opening of the show home and the release of the first phase of the development.
The two-, three- and four-bedroom homes are situated right in the heart of Shipdham, next to the church. As the village is one of the county’s oldest, Abel Homes’ designers have come up with a set of traditional exterior designs that will fit in with the look of the surroundings – but inside, the new homes boasts contemporary design features, including triple glazed windows, solar PV, intruder alarms and electrically-operated garage doors.
“As a local house builder, we know how important it is that when we build new homes in a community, that the design is sympathetic to what already exists there,” said Abel Homes managing director Tony Abel.
“Shipdham is a lovely, traditional village, and so we asked our designers to come up with house designs and building materials which would look appropriate – which meant a more traditional feel than some of the new homes we have built recently. We have enhanced that feel by using willow hurdle panelling to some of the homes.
“But that traditional look doesn’t mean that these new homes won’t have the latest modern facilities. Energy efficiency and convenience are very important to today’s buyers, which is why we have built these homes with insulation far exceeding that required by Building Regulations, included solar panels and triple glazing as standard, and fitted as standard the kind of premium features which are often expensive optional extras.
“We really hope that people will come and see for themselves just how many additional features are standard in these new homes.”
Each new home at Oak Meadow will be completed to a very high specification, including integrated fridge/freezers and dishwashers, ceramic floor tiles in kitchens, chrome taps and shower fittings, and fitted floor coverings throughout.
Prices for the first phase of three- and four-bedroom homes range from £188,995 to £289,995.
The show home at Oak Meadow, situated just of the High Street in Shipdham next to the church, will be open on Saturday 13th April and Sunday 14th April from 10am to 4pm.
