Norfolk house builder Abel Homes is to launch the second phase of its hugely popular Taursham Park site in Taverham this weekend, releasing 17 two-, three- and four-bedroom homes for sale.

The new homes follow on from the 93 homes which were built during the first phase of the development, which also includes three public open spaces and a wooded area with woodland walk.  The site is situated at the junction of Beech Avenue and Ringland Road.

All of the new homes have been built to a very high specification of sustainability, boasting an EPC rating of ‘A’ – the highest band, and placing the homes in the top 3% nationally in terms of new homes energy efficiency.  Each home is fitted with solar photovoltaic panels, triple glazing and underfloor heating to the ground floor.

The new homes also come with fitted ‘A’ rated appliances, air source heat pumps, electric car charging points, garages with electric doors, BT fibre broadband to the premises, and floor coverings included throughout.

“The first phase of our Taursham Park site was hugely popular, and we are delighted to be launching Phase Two this weekend, which has already seen high levels of interest,” said Paul Legrice, managing director of Abel Homes.

“Taverham is a very sought-after place to live, with a vibrant sense of community, easy access to the city centre, and with lovely countryside adjacent to the village.

“We are proud that all of our new homes here – as with every new home we build – will boast an EPC ‘A’ rating, which has the dual benefit of reducing energy bills and the impact on the environment.  Just three per cent of new homes in the UK are built to this standard.”

Prices for the 17 two-three- and four-bedroom homes range from £290,000 to £585,000.  A further eight new homes are being provided as affordable homes.

Taursham was the name given to Taverham in The Domesday Book, which listed Taverham Mill as ‘Taursham Mill’.

The show home at Taursham Park will be open this weekend from 10am to 4pm and then Friday to Monday thereafter; call 01953 884486 to book a viewing appointment.
