Phase two launched in Shipdham to meet with the demand
We have brought forward the launch of the second phase of a new development in Shipdham, in response to record demand for its new homes.
We have started marketing 17 more new homes on its Oak Meadow site in Shipdham – houses which were originally not even planned to be built until the middle of this year.
After spiralling demand led to the first phase of 26 homes on the site selling much more quickly than expected, we decided to bring forward the start of construction on the next phase to autumn 2013, and now these homes have been brought onto the market.
“The combination of a rapidly recovering market, a great location at the heart of the village, and traditional designs which incorporate lots of energy-saving features, led to Phase One of Oak Meadow selling out in six months,” said Abel Homes Managing Director Tony Abel.
“We knew that these homes were something special, and we were fortunate to launch the site just as the market started taking off in the spring of 2013. As a result, the new homes have sold much more quickly than planned, and so we started building out the second phase in the autumn, meaning we are launching these new homes now, instead of later in 2014 as originally planned.”
The 43 family homes at Shipdham combine traditional exterior designs with the latest contemporary design features and energy-efficient features inside. The two-, three- and four-bedroom homes are situated right in the heart of Shipdham, next to the church.
Prices for the second phase of the development start from £219,995. The show home at the site is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
