High demand accelerates build at Shipdham site

Abel Homes launched Oak Meadow, a development of 43 new homes in the heart of the mid-Norfolk town, in April of this year, with a first phase of 26 houses.  A second phase of 17 houses was planned to be started in mid 2014, but unprecedented demand has led to construction being brought forward, which will see a further 17 new homes built.

''We launched Oak Meadow just as the market started to take off, and the combination of traditional design houses with comtemporary and energy efficient features - coupled with their location right in the heart of Shipdham - meant that the homes have sold like hot cakes'' said Abel Homes managing director Tony Abel.

''So to keep up with demand, we are bringing forward work on the second phase, and we are now marketing these homes, as many buyers are taking advantage of the chance to buy off-plan so that they can customise their new home before it is built''
