Abel Homes donates PPE equipment to Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital
With work suspended at all of its construction sites, Norfolk-based house builder Abel Homes has despatched a consignment of PPE equipment to the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital to help frontline staff in the fight against the Covid-19 virus.
The consignment of FFP2 masks, which protect the wearer against airborne particles and water-based mists, would normally be used by workmen on site while carrying out tasks such as plastering or sanding.
In response to the donation, Professor Nancy Fontaine, chief nurse & director of infection prevention and control for the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospitals, said, "A massive thank you for your help and very generous delivery to support us and the wider NHS. You have helped to keep our staff safe and this is immense."
Abel Homes chairman Tony Abel said, "At this time of national emergency, we must all do what we can to help. With work suspended at our sites, sending these masks for use by NHS frontline workers is the least we could do."
